Can I discharge all of my debts in bankruptcy?

NJ Bankruptcy Law FAQ

Q) Can I discharge all of my debts in bankruptcy?

A) Not always. Some debts are not able to be discharged. For example, you cannot discharge child or spousal support, most student loans, most tax debts or debts owed to government agencies. Should you have any questions about whether or not a specific debt is dischargeable, you should contact an experienced bankruptcy attorney to answer your questions with specificity.
